Almost from the day L. David Harris surrendered his life to Jesus Christ, he has had a passion for writing. The first writings resembled college term papers, but the impact was far greater. These writings would practically leap from his mind onto the page, since the Lord was working through him. Many were enlightened and encouraged in the Lord.
At first, each completed work was photocopied for wide hand-to-hand circulation. At the time, he was a vocational counselor for an organization serving individuals with autism. At that organization, there were over one hundred direct care staff, hundreds of parents, many job site managers, etc. who were positively influenced by the God who was portrayed on the pages.
Many of the people influenced began to seek David for conversation and advice on spiritual matters. Also, during that time he wrote custom Bible studies for individuals needing a closer walk with God.
For several years, close friends and family encouraged and even urged David to make a career of writing or at least publish a book. This was not his passion, so he began to write articles for Christian missionary journals and other periodicals. After several years of doing this, having his works circulated around the world, he was suddenly inspired to write a book. The impression was so strong that he set what many may consider unrealistic goals for the simultaneous completion of two books. With the Lord's help and determined, persistent effort, he reached his ambitious goal, with each book totalling over 370 pages, and as a result, many are being drawn closer to Christ.
The blessing continues. As a result of a conversation Harris had with his mother-in-law while relaxing in Jamaica in December of 2004, he completed his third book. This book is intended to be a catalyst to help regain and mantain focus of Christ, who, for some reason or another, have lost their way. It portrays Christ as the One who is not willing to just allow them to drift into oblivion. He loves us all and does inconceivably more than we can imagine to bring us into saving relationship with Himself.
